Chee-Chai Alien is a Japan-only Game Boy Color game developed by Creatures (company).

The game involves collecting aliens from artificial light sources, known as Chailiens (later referred to as "Chaliens" in the English localisation of Spin Six (DSI), itself based on Nonono Puzzle Chalien (GBA)) and interacting with them, unlocking their minigames.

It makes special use of the Game Boy Color's infrared port to do this, although only the amplitude is measured. The signal can be enhanced with an attachment known as the "spectrum communicator".

The game cannot be played on a non-Game Boy Color (even a Game Boy Advance), although is fully compatible minus the ability to get new Chaliens with infrared or use other infrared features if forced.

Music

Composers of the game include Hirokazu Tanaka, Noriyuki Kitsuta, with Mariwe Kusumi responsible for "voice cooperation" work.
