Brian started in the world of video game music in May 1994 at Presage Software, creating the music and sound for their games. Since 1995, Salter has worked as a freelance musician. He also worked for Beatnik from 1996 to 1998, contributing to their Headspace Music Library which was utilized in products such as WebTV devices. After leaving Beatnik, he continued to work with the company for several years, creating ringtones for Nokia and Sony. Music Composition

PC / Mac

Salter composed music using the SoundMusicSys engine, which later became Beatnik Audio Engine.

Mobile

Salter used Cubase in tandem with Beatnik Editor to author music for Danger Hiptop games, as well as ringtones for Nokia phones. He used a third-party DLS player to convert the OSTs for mobileBAE, the engine used on the Hiptop3.
