The Bionic Commando Theme is a song heard in various games from the Bionic Commando series. It was composed by Harumi Fujita for the original arcade game and has been remixed for several other games. The track has a wonderful snare drum throughout the song giving it the perfect military march sound.

The Bionic Commando Theme had several unofficial titles like Area 1 from the NES port, or The Forefront from the arcade game, but when Simon Wiklund released the soundtrack, he gave the song its now official title.

This song was covered by Machinae Supremacy to promote the Bionic Commando reboot.

This is the original version of the song as composed by Harumi Fujita. It is heard in stage 2: The Forefront.

The song is played on a YM2151 sound chip and is song 0x2 in the game's sound test.

Bionic Commando (NES)

The Bionic Commando Theme is the background music of areas 1, 3, 4, and 7.

In the liner notes for the official soundtrack, Dean Tersigni writes:

There were many war games for the NES, but none of them have a more military sounding track than the "Bionic Commando Theme". The beat of the snares and the pulsing bass are the perfect backdrop for the powerful lead. Obviously inspired by a military march, this iconic song gives the game its notable character.

Bionic Commando (GB)

The Game Boy rearrangement is very similar to the NES version, only with a slower tempo and lower fidelity. The bulk of the song is intact, but it is missing the bridge. It plays only in area 13.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed (W32)

Bionic Commando: Rearmed features a remix version of the song. A preview of the remix can be heard on the 8-bit album, and the full remix can be heard in Bionic Commando: Rearmed (W32).
