There were many war games for the NES, but none of them have a more military sounding track than the "Bionic Commando Theme". The Bionic Commando Theme is the background music of areas 1, 3, 4, and 7. It has a wonderful military march sound with snare drums all throughout the track.

In the liner notes for the official soundtrack, Dean Tersigni writes:

The Game Boy rearrangement is very similar to the NES version, only with a slower tempo and lower fidelity. The bulk of the song is intact, but it is missing the bridge. It plays only in area 13.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed (W32)

Bionic Commando: Rearmed features a remix version of the song. A preview of the remix can be heard on the 8-bit album, and the full remix can be heard in Bionic Commando: Rearmed (W32).
