Beverly Hills Cop is the licensed game loosely based on self-titled movie in the genre of platformer shooter.

In this game you take a role of the law enforcer, Axel Foley (character of the original film). This game is actually a couple of four sub-games. In the first Axel Foley visits a warehouse to shoot out some bad guys. The second involves driving after 3 lorries full of weapons, and shooting them out one by one, Chase HQ-style. In the third you must cross the grounds of a mansion, shooting anyone who gets in your way. The final section is set within the mansion, and is first-person 3D, although with few movement angles and only one enemy on screen at a time.

The critics didn't like this game because of bad game play and bad controls, however it has nice graphics and music.

Music

The only song in this game is a cover of Axel F from the movie, arranged by David Whittaker. The Atari ST version sounds like ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC versions, they even use almost the same chips - YM2149 and AY-3-8912, that's why the fidelity of sound is lower than in the Amiga or Commodore 64 versions.
