Arc System Works (アークシステムワークス) is a Japanese game developer which was founded by Minoru Kidooka in May of 1988. They started off on the NES and Sega Master System, usually porting Namco and other arcade games, but also developed some original titles of their own. The company is know for their Guilty Gear video games. The company also had a division titled Minato Giken.


Music Development


Minoru Kidooka, the company's CEO programmed a sound driver. However, it is unknown how the music was written, but it was possibly in either 6502 assembly or a form of Music Macro Language.
