Arc System Works (アークシステムワークス) is a Japanese game developer which was founded by Minoru Kidooka in May of 1988. They started off on the NES and Sega Master System, usually porting Namco and other arcade games, but also developed some original titles of their own. The company is know for their Guilty Gear video games. The company also had a division titled Minato Giken.

Minoru Kidooka, the company's CEO programmed a sound driver. According to Shunichi Ohshima, the music was entered using a binary number system.
SNES
Arc used their own sound driver which was programmed by Katsuhiro Hayashi.
