Toshiko Tasaki is a Japanese composer and sound designer who has worked for various game companies including Taito, Vic Tokai, Aicom, and Atlus. She has been in the industry for over 30 years.

She started in the game industry around 1989 when she worked for Aicom. There, she primarily worked on the NES, and Astyanax appears to be her first game. Around 1995, she started working for Atlus. There, she worked on the sound to many of their popular series of games including Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner. She later left Atlus to become a freelance composer, and is known for her work for the Osawari Tantei series. However, when Tasaki was working on Acquire's title Dan ← Dam, she ended up joining the company. At Acquire, she is known for working on series like Ken to Mahou to Gakuen Mono. and AKIBA'S.

Tasaki continues to work at Acquire to this day.

Music Development

NES

According to Toshiko, she wrote the music in Music Macro Language which was assembled on the NES. She used a sound driver by Hiroshi Yamazaki for Astyanax, Michiya Hirasawa for Downtown Special and possibly Masayoshi Koyama for Totally Rad.
