Super Mario Bros. is a side-view platform action game and a staple NES game. Officially, it sold more than any other game in history (if you include package deals as sales) and is most likely the first game played by a member of the NES generation. The premise is simple; the princess has been kidnapped by a giant reptile, the king of the Koopas, and you being the awesome plumber that you are, must save her. This is a very early platformer, and it set the standard for many games that would come later.
The soundtrack of Super Mario Bros. was composed and arranged by Koji Kondo.

Koji Kondo is listed as the composer on the Famicom 20th Anniversary Original Sound Tracks Vol. 1 album, as well as several additional soundtracks. Other games that borrow music from Super Mario Bros., like the Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC) also credit Kondo.
Song titles are taken from Famicom 20th Anniversary Original Sound Tracks Vol. 1.
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
