Games Kid Icarus: Angel Land Story (NES), Metroid (NES)

This album contains both the original game music and arranged version of music from Kid Icarus: Angel Land Story (NES) and Metroid (NES). The music's original composer, Hirokazu Tanaka, created the arranged versions. The album was released a few months after the games themselves were released. The recording uses synthesizers with a much higher fidelity than the NES audio chip, so the quality of the music is much greater. In particular, the percussion and bass has a much richer sound. The album was released as a cassette and a record, each side had three tracks for each game. The soundtrack included the Title and Ending tunes for both games as well as a medley of various background music throughout each game.
