Cannon Fodder 2 (DOS)
|Cannon Fodder 2|
Cannon Fodder 2 functions nearly identically to the original Cannon Fodder (DOS). It's a birds-eye view of a battlefield and you control a group of soldiers who run around and shoot everything with machine guns, grenades, and missiles. They occasionally get slaughtered themselves as well. Cannon Fodder 2 introduced a few extras like the ability to drive jeeps and run over enemy soldiers. Like Worms (DOS), the game revolves around the cuteness of little creatures getting blown up.

Although the music isn't anything too spectacular, this was one of the first games to use digital audio for lyrics in the title track.

The AMF files were simply pulled from the game's installed directory and recorded with Winamp's mod tracker. The songs are named after their file names. The track Heli Animation is titled "Jaguar Animation" in the song's meta data.
Since the game uses tracked digital audio, it couldn't run on FM synthesis sound cards, though, at this time, most sound card could handle digital audio.
