Title Origin Official

Can't Remove the Pain, often titled Bootup was composed by Todd Porter for Ultima VI: The False Prophet. The song is played during the opening sequence of the game.

The official title comes from the Origin Soundtrack album, however, many people refer to this song as Bootup because of when it's played and because the file name in the original DOS version is Bootup.m.

Loops Yes

Although the song is only 1:48 in length, the actual music file loops the song doubling the time to 3:36. Since the game automatically loops the music, the second play through is redundant. The reason for this loop is unknown, but a second song The Wander, also loops internally.

The song can be played on six different sound cards.
